Qualification for each position;

CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER, GRADE II

i. An Officer not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Captain of the Army or an officer of equivalent rank in the Other Armed Services

OR

ii. A person who possesses a degree from a recognized University/Higher Educational Institutions with not less than five (05) years experience in security work.

OR

iii. A holder of the post of Security Inspector, Grade I or above in the University Security Services and confirmed in the present post with not less than eight (08) years of satisfactory service in those grades.

NURSING OFFICER, GRADE II (University Of Jaffna / Vavuniya Campus)

(i) GCE (Ordinary Level) Examination in Six subjects at not more than two sitting with credit passes in three subjects.

AND

(ii) Certificate of competence as a Nurse recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTOR, GRADE III

Should have passed the Public Health Inspectors examination conducted by the Department of Health.

FIELD SUPERVISOR, GRADE III

i. (a) G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 6 subjects at not more than 2 sittings with credit passes in 5 subjects including Agriculture and Mathematics;

OR

    (b) An employee of the UGC or a Higher Educational Institution who has passed at least the 8th standard, and who has at least 8 years experience in field supervision at a recognized farm.

SECURITY INSPECTOR, GRADE II

i) a) G.C.E (Ordinary Level) Examination in six subjects at not more than two sittings with credit passes in 5 subjects. The credit passes must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature and Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.

OR

   b) Employees of the University System with not less than 5 years’ satisfactory service and who have passed the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 06 subjects at not more than 03 sittings. The subjects passed must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature and Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.

AND

ii) Not less than 05 years satisfactory service in the Police or Armed service or Security service in the University System or other recognized security organization.

iii) Should have actively participated in Sports.

iv) Height: Not less than 5 feet and 4 inches.

     Chest: Not less than 34 inches (Normal).

INSTRUMENT CARETAKER CUM REPAIRER, GRADE III (Dancing Instruments)

i. a) G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 6 subjects at not more than 2 sittings;

OR

   b) A Pass in 8th Standard and who have satisfactorily completed 5 years’ permanent service in the UGC or a Higher Educational Institution.

ii. Knowledge and ability in –

                                                Repairing Kandyan and Low Country Drums, Davul, Tammettam, Uddekki, Raban etc. Should have at least two years experience in repairing the above instruments in a Higher Educational Institution, Government Department or a Public Corporation.

iii. Experience in maintenance of issue registers and storage of instruments.

Note: Preference will be given to those with knowledge and ability in playing dancing instruments.
