Age Limit;

Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age as at 21.09.2018 (Maximum age limit is not applicable for those who already hold a permanent post in the government service).

Qualification;
Educational Qualifications

Should have passed G.C.E.(Ordinary Level) in not more than two sittings in six (06) subjects with credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil, Science and Mathematics. According to the old syllabus either of the two credit passes should be for chemistry or for the science subject according to the new syllabus.

Experience

Should have obtained at least 02 years of experience in a laboratory of a recognizedinstitute. Certificates should be produced in proof of such experience.

Physical Fitness

The selected officer may be required to serve in any part of the Island and should be physically and mentally fit to serve in and part of the Island.

Other Qualifications

i. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka with an excellent character.

ii. Should have fulfilled required qualifications in all respects as at 21.09.2018
